Please note: It is the domain name owner's responsibility to make sure owner contact information is correct and domain renewal fees are paid, in plenty of time, before the domain name expires. If a domain name expires -- you have lost ownership and there are no guarantees you can get that domain name back.
Redemption is the period in which your domain is held before being released publicly for others to possibly purchase. In most cases, you will have the chance to redeem the domain name within a window of 10-45+ days after expiration.
Redemption fees can vary depending on the time frame but can be between normal registration price and upwards to $300 dollars and more. This is set according to the domain registrar's policy and the fee is not within my control to change. The more desired the domain name, fees generally tend to be higher and go into redemption faster.
